Nothing will prepare you for the real thing though....

Don't think the play station will give ya the bumps and fear ha ha
Some day I'll get over I had to pull out of the trip a few years ago at the last min
I'd deffo be taking it handy for a good few laps, a lot of I that fook all run off.

Yup, unfortunately there's no reset button in real life

The fear hits you once you go to view at brunchen corner ( huge tourist viewing area ) and it's good thing , if you're not afraid I reckon it a recipe for a crash

Great vid dec

I can't wait to get over there,, I'd say there some mixter of fear and excitement when lapping it,

I got a great buzz just watching the video

I do what the teacher there does in my brain when going around mondello,

I'd say its over whelming trying to remember all them corners

That lad in the video is so controlled and with so little steering input, looks nothing like my first lap!!! Changed gears twice as much as him and was moving the wheel twice as much also and I say he was twice as fast!!
No replacement for real life practice! Best video I've seen of it though.

its immense!! so big and every corner you are coming to you find yourself second guessing your decision (is it left or right over this crest :ponder2 ) and the speed is savage some corners you could be flat in fourth 120+ mph for me it has to be either the either flugplatz or the foxhole parts of the track for sheer thrill and stomach turning excitement. you go through the foxhole at about 120-130mph its like a humpbacked railway bridge turned upside down ,the whole car compresses with massive force and as you come up out of that you are hard on the brakes and into third for a sharp left over the kerbs into a sharp right and down to second gear for an s bend god its great :changinggear: :icon_headbang:

great video but he knows the track like the back of his hand but he explains it well

2015 track day at the ring anyone

That's the one that got me dec, flying down through the foxhole, first lap out, stomach nearly landed in my skull in the part where it bottoms out!!

did a full track day in 2010 with bhp in uk where full nurburgring was open not just nordeschalfe (old f1 circuit joins onto nordeschalfe). it was a closed day except for entrants and one of the best trackdays ive ever done (very expensive though 800 euro for full day). a great way to learn the full ring without huge number of nutters and motorbikes out there, you start/finish on grand prix circuit with use of paddocks etc which is class- if i got any sort of numbers interested in it i would make enquiries, i know its crazy money but one for the bucket list,
