Hi guys

What's the best way to have 2 cars insured?
As my Scooby is off the road now, I bought a second car for everyday use (1.4 Opel Astra crap).

My insurer said I can move the insurance to the new car, but then I can only use my NCB on one car. :ponder2:
I will need to pay loads to insure my Scooby back, after its repaired.

Is there any way to go around this?

Swap your insurance back to the Scooby before you take out a new policy.
Get a new policy for the astra. Many insurance companies will mirror what NCB you have,so if you have a 4yr NCB it will be reflected in the new policy.
Try a broker they will know what you mean as not all insurance companies do this. Good luck. :xmas_cheers:

I have to do the same, what is the best insurance company for the scooby?
i got a quote for full comp 860 euro on the 00 sti type r, is this good for full no claims and over 10yrs of driving age 34

I think It's really good for a type-r I'm paying 1150 - 31yo and full no claims

And all is fine as long as you don't tell them of modifications - in most of cases they're not interested in insuring such a car. Even if it's only bigger brakes (which for insurer means you will drive faster, and that's why you need bigger brakes than standard - sick, but that's the point of view of "normal people")

They have a new category now for Sti type-r I remember before they went with just 2l turbo wrx. Is there anyone that will do two cars ?

if your married there is away around it but if your not your fxxked.from my experience insurance companies dont really want to insure men with subarus and im 41.
