How too install sky digital.

You need a satellite finder. If the dish isnt dead on you wont get a picture. Dont think you'd get it by guessing where it is. Think its the Astra 2 satellite your looking for
 
you can use the signal strenght meter in the system set up menu to gauge your reception. astra is east of south and face the dish down a little, about 5 degrees or so. you should get it handy enough and just keep tweaking until you get it right. I got 80% signal quality without a meter which is better than most installers bother to set up. Good luck john :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 
just look at the houses around you with dishes and see what way there pointing and what degree a good guess should get you fairly close and only move it a small bit every time :thumbs up:
 
I was just lookin at the bottom of the dish where the wire connects and there's numbers 1 to 5 on it, and you can move the wire between them, any idea.
I've been messing for the past couple of hours and still can't fin anythin!!!!!
 
Live in the middle of the country in sligo with no one at the same level as me :lol: so hard too find :thumbsup:
 
Is it a single feed LNB ? If so the scale you refer to is for fine adjustment but yuo shouls still get something just by pointing in more or less the right direction.........i had mine working lying on the driveway propped up with a block before i even put it on the house........ :ponder:
