How would you rate your Scooby over the last year?

Well, we're fast approaching the end of 2006 and I was wondering how you would rate your Scooby over the last year. Been good, bad or indifferent? Subaru have had a good reputation over the years for reliability, would you agree? I know there's been a few blown engines for some of you and I'm sure we've all had a few technical headaches... but would you consider trading in for a comfortable family saloon or a :shoot: SUV????

Considering the age of my own ('95) I've been more than pleased with the year's motoring - I've only had a couple of weeks without it because of wear and tear issues - had to replace header tank (cracked), radiator (cracked), clutch (slipping) and 2 tyres and 3 services. Not bad at all... and the fun has been immeasurable (thanks in part to the ISDC for organising some great events :D ).

Next year I must get timing belt done and I think the coilovers have to go... they're just not made for these roads :eek:mg: I also want to slowly start uprating and customising my Scoob which I hope will be fun too. I don't think I'll be buying a newer one for a good while yet, so I'm going to make the most of what I've got.

Year rating 8/10

How has your Scooby year been?

January: Got the Hayward and Scott exhaust and fuel pump done :headbanger:
Febuary: Got Bailey dumpvalve and a service done
April : Got the Apexi FC done by Andy.............. and thats when i started enjoy her...... :subaru:
May: Got her lowered 40mm on Tein Springs
August : Got gauges for Boost, volt, water temp, oil temp and oil pressure
October: Serviced , new tyres and NCT'd
November : UP FOR SALE

But over all i have to say never had one problem with her but have very very empty pockets.

Over all 9/10

Can't really fault mine this year.Only thing it needed was an o2 sensor.

Then is was just the usual oil changes, set of tyres and front brake pads.

I did treat it to a 3 gauge centre pod and that's was about it.

Could'nt think of anything id rather drive 350 miles a week on mountain roads.

Defo 9/10

I drove mine for one month fault free after getting her in June. Then it was down-hill-(steep cliff-like hill!!) The fatal Knocking sound sent shivers down my spine. :eek:mg:
On the bright side I wouldn't have been doing my build if it had kept right. :dunno: But that would have saved me barrows full of cash!!

Overall, very happy.

Nothing major wrong. Silly probem like headlights not aligning and some very old power steering fluid that needed changing. Other than that just the usual oil changes.

9/10  :subaru:
