Petrolheads
Well, we're fast approaching the end of 2006 and I was wondering how you would rate your Scooby over the last year. Been good, bad or indifferent? Subaru have had a good reputation over the years for reliability, would you agree? I know there's been a few blown engines for some of you and I'm sure we've all had a few technical headaches... but would you consider trading in for a comfortable family saloon or a :shoot: SUV????
Considering the age of my own ('95) I've been more than pleased with the year's motoring - I've only had a couple of weeks without it because of wear and tear issues - had to replace header tank (cracked), radiator (cracked), clutch (slipping) and 2 tyres and 3 services. Not bad at all... and the fun has been immeasurable (thanks in part to the ISDC for organising some great events ).
Next year I must get timing belt done and I think the coilovers have to go... they're just not made for these roads mg: I also want to slowly start uprating and customising my Scoob which I hope will be fun too. I don't think I'll be buying a newer one for a good while yet, so I'm going to make the most of what I've got.
Year rating 8/10
