How's it going lads and ladies!
I had a good time chillaxing most of the time, We ate well and drank wine most nights! We drove 2500 KMs and used I think 7 tanks of fuel  Lots of high speed cruising keeping up with some enthusiastic french motorway drivers, One lad in a 2001 shape RS4 giving it socks and he know the position of all the cameras, savage pull out off her in fifth and sixth gear, But I always caught him, any time we came up on slower traffic, as soon as the road cleared its was ( Back up to motorway speed) I let him on after a short while,
France sucks abit to drive in, lots of speed cameras and terrible drivers, (except on motorways they are very good) but back roads there are always in the middle of the road!
And they have no respect for other other peoples cars, I was only in the feckin country a day and some french dick opened his door against my car putting the wrorst dent the car has had in a year and a half of me owning it! Prat!
I sucked missing Japfest! Especially the track time! but it was unavoidable,
Car ran great the whole time, And I found a great little carwash near where we were staying, It was one that you could just put in 1 or 2 euro coins when nessisery and you had hot shampoo, cold rince and Wax functions, A total jobby only took about €7-8 and I only did that on the first day, then maybe every second day I'd just stop in and €2 would rince her down and give a fresh wax! If I had something like that in sallins I'd be a happy camper,
Please let me know if I missed anything you's think I'd be able to help with or I'd interested in because there is 9 pages of unread posts that I just can't work through!
Good to be back!
Dan

Welcome back Dan, Japfest was a good day out alright, pity you missed it. A couple of the club members fairly learned the limits of their brakes while out on track :1poke:

Drove all the way my freind!

I'll be out on track with a vengance at the next earliest opportunity, in the forester anyway! I have a set of part worn track tyres to finish off before getting R888's
It seems I roasted the piston rings out of the skyline at the last track day when she sprung a leak that I didn't notice till it was to late!
Feckin skyline is seriously eating into my scooby modding funds this year! :angry1: she's worth it though!
Davelegacy is sorting out a few cooling mods for the forester to make sure she doesn't follow in the skylines faith!

Brakes are soooooooo important, I melted fast road compound porsche gt3 pads on to my discs (right to the metal) in march this year, Full compition pads for the track now!

It's good to be home, and looking forward to the next meet and tracktime!
Dan
