Seen this on scoobyirl and thought it was an amazing thing to have done.

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?'

The father who, despite having a heart condition said 'yes.'

They went on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying
'yes' to his son's request of going through the race together...

One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's do the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'yes' too.

For those who don't know, the Ironman is the toughest of the triathlons.

The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile marathon in that order and without a break.

The father and son went on to complete the race together.

No stronger motivation to keep going than the love a father has for his son.
 
great find alright,saw an interview with the father on the tv one night
and it was unbelievable,had meself and the wife in tears
the man is a true example of what a fathers love should be like
