Got my renewal quote, €2800 with Quinn Direct, tpft, actually gone up by 100 quid  ba*@#rds! Trying a few other places for quotes but no body is willing to take the risk, firstireland won't even quote me now....

2 years ncb, full license 1 year now, 20 years old. Don't think I'm going to get much better than that though considering i'm 20 driving a 2.0 turbo impreza lol.

Any suggestions?? :)

Thanks lads

Regards,
Stephen

Try insureme.ie if you haven't yet - but as a young driver you shouldn't expect miracles... anyway worth of trying

im insured with first ireland through axa broker i am 22 with 3 yrs ncb full licence for 2 yrs, tpft, subaru impreza type r 98 value 11000 euro excess is 350 euro insured in my own name for 1522 euro and that quote was when i was 21 3 months ago no points accidents etc im 22 now

did you try first ireland because i rang axa myself and they wouldnt insure me  so i rang first ireland and im insured through them with axa :)

I was the one that suggested FirstIreland to you Mark :) They quoted me before but I decided to stay with Quinn until I got my second years NCB. She said due to recent criteria change they can't take the risk anymore :(

Looks like I'm going to have to pay €2800 quid for tpft!! :(

Try insure.ie Stephen. Know a few lads that have gone thru them for insurance on evo's and gsr's and the qoutes seem decent! Worth a shot!

same happened with my mam. ring and ask why... then tell them you've found a cheaper quote and are going to switch. garantee(spelling?) they'll drop the price. my mam actually did switch and she got phone call after phone call tryin 2 get her back as a customer.... droppin prices all over the shop dey wer!

You could try and insure something and then change it over to the impreza in a few weeks :dunno:
