Integra stolen from japfest

Stuff robbed off cars on stands and from merchants and traders attending as well.

An event of that size, and the money they make off of it, and the fact they have the bar open on the day. It's a farce that they have no form of security at it. Every year is the same shíte.

With the move away from club track time slots etc, it's only a matter of time before someone cops that they can do a better JDM car show weekend at a better location.

What ever about parts going missing at an event this size but for a whole car to drive out is just insane .

But Mondello will wash their hands of it with vehicles left at owners risk etc etc .

Problem with the show is that it's a cash cow for Mondello and security will eat away at their bottom line .
So if it's not written in law they won't do it .

Really shitty on the owner

happens every year. I didnt make it this year but had intentions and was planing to leave the scooby and go with her car exactly for this reason

The fact that a car has been stolen from there every year without fail and they know this yet never made any effort to improve security, you'd probably win in court if you had the balls and pockets and a willing solicitor.

You wouldn't I'd say as cars parked at owners risk clause
Ticket machines should be setup with face capture
Surely same crew taking integras every year
Handy few k for them
SCUM
Premium entry fee and little provided it seems as in facilities security
Deffo a market for a good event each year
But who would risk it
Easier events to invest in for promoters than young car culture
A shame as I hear was a great event this year

That's an absolute disgrace, fook sake they make it too easy for the scum who'd do it, walk in and drive out practically, course that's gonna entice that carry on, heart goes out to the owner, i know I'd be a bag of depression anyway...

Scum fest

Irish car scene by and large a load of scummers imo

im sorry lads but im on the other fence here

no matter were you go and park your car its at the owners risk.
mondello didnt make it to easy for a car to be stolen!!!!
these guys drove in payed there money and drove out the same way anyone on this site did on the day so how is that going to entice scum to rob cars, sure they can do it in any carpark in the country.

heart does go out to the owner aswell but i presume if john new above that cars are getting stolen every year at this event, then the owner of the honda new that too and hopefully taught about security????

i agree to a certain degree ciaran but if you go to japfest in the uk or similar event you will get scum to, its not just ireland, its unfortunatly the type of cars at this events that attrack these people.

i understand you saying it as you have been to the likes of goodwood etc which is a totally different ball game.

in this country you still have nice people at cars events for e.g. classic car c&c that was on at the weekend and the likes of the octane track days, some of the other car club days to, be very good. auto test days etc. you dont see track suit wearing ball scratchers at these events

ah no ciaran were all here (isdc) cool

no scum here but you just cant trust everyone, its great here for making friends with similar interests and some people you get closer to than others but most dont know what i get up to in my car or in the world in general in my spare time and i dont know what they get up to in there spare time.

Big events will always attract scum and this goes not only for car events but concerts, festivals etc. The issue to me is that the organizers are only concerned with generating profit but do very little in return. Car security on both participants and guests of the event should be a basic requirement and if they do not address it it will hurt the image of the event in the future ( as I said in my previous post I was planing of coming but not with my car). And lets be fair It wont take much to prevent or at least make it harder for someone ot just hop in and drive through the gate with other person property: Like cameras on the gate, matching ticket number to be required at exit etc...

It's not so long ago I read about a Ford car show in the U.K. That owners of cars discovered home made trackers stuck under the cars, I wouldn't be inclined to bring anything I thought much of to a show now.

Ken, that being happening a while now,

The last big ford show, 3 RS and 3 st were taking from outside owners house

1 owner found a homemade tracker fitted after he got home
