christ on a bike dag we must be on the same frequency, i was just listening to this (see below) and was thinking ive heard that somewhere before and was wondering where they got the hook from.
its a bit of a hobbey of mine to try find the hook that newer artists have used from old tunes, especially when it comes to hip hop.

@ dagnut.......ive been listening to a few of their newer songs and its on my list.

again after feicin ages of trolling trough the net i found this track by tape n tapes. ive watched a live version of this track they played in some virgin store where the sound quality is crap but i couldnt get over the drummer........the speed and consistantsy of his drumming i thought was amasing. anyway im not or never have been anylytical about music but alot of modern indie rock seems to follow a similar pattern of a string of verses leading up to a climactic verse at the end, this can be seen in this track and the last track i posted by elbow, the final verse ''So throw those curtains wide! .....One day like this a yeard see me right'' seems to bond the other verses which untill you hear the final verse seem incoherant.
there are so many great bands out there now there isnt enough time in the day to listen to them all.
