ok , so i tripped over laptop charging cable and fooked it up :hammerhead: , have insurance so courier picked it up and brought it back to me today , new charger ,grand job :thumbsup:



BUT , here's the bad bit


note b4 laptop was collected ,it worked perfect apart from power issue which was clearly stated on phone to insurance guy , so new power cable = problem sorted


so courier brought laptop back with a little jiffy bag with my (old hardrive innit) and a breif note saying it had to be replaaced :angry1: :angry1:, even thought there was nothing wrong with it



my question is this , can any data from old hardrive be recovered and if so how ??????
 
They went ahead and changed out your harddrive without first consulting you?
 
get an external hard drive case and use it as an external. just watch the position of the jumpers. :thumbsup:
 
yes you need to get an external hard drive case for your removed drive and put it in this. or find someone with a willing donor laptop(me!) that will let u put the removed hard drive in and recover any files to usb stick or across network or similar, i can help you out if your based in Dublin :)
