Legacy for Forester

Sunday Drivers
Alright lads, As you know the Forester was stolen, recovered and being repaired as I type. The only thing is now I think I'm going to get rid of it as I don't want it to be a temptation for another scrote to have a pop at :icon_sad: and I don't want herself worrying about it either. so I'm looking at changeing to a legacy (B4) - something around 04 / 06 sorta age. Anyone give advice about auto vs manual and especially what to look out for. I don't mind driving an auto as I won't be acting the loon in it... How different is the driving experience? Is the auto quick to change gear? Presumbly the power is simular (not the same I know but simular) What's the top speed, 0 to 60 in the auto vs the manual,....Anyway - any advice would be appreciated... :1poke: Thanks folks..

Best advice is buy an impeza :icon_lol:

Think there is a black auto legacy in the for sale section , i'l look for the link

Hows things?

I would think that a B4 would attract more attention than a Forester from the scrotes :dontknow:
So if thats the only reason for changing I wouldn't bother.......

Would be inclined to agree with Alan to be honest.
If i was you..... Good Clifford Alarm (or other brand if personal choise)
Kill Switch
and depending on parking arrangements, a good old fashioned drive way bollard......

Doesnt matter what car you ever buy, someone will get a serious case of green eyed monsters and will try to take it.
security measures will slow them down thus detering them..... Its almost impossible to prevent theft completely.

Keep the Foz

100% agree with Al and Hammie,
I would keep the foz, and regardless of what car you drive, fit a Clifford, or any alarm with proximity sencors!!
All my cars have them!
Some people think they are a nuisence, but a bit of fine tuning and it will only beep when some is really close to her!
Once she beeps, they'll run off!
There are other alarm systems with proximity function also!
Best of luck man!

Decent alarm, hidden kill switch and total cover steering lock.
Should do the trick. Don't let the scrotes win, keep the classy forester on the road.
:subaru:

i think the newer shape Legacy's dont attract much attention at all, never had a problem with mine being pikied. auto legacy's are slower 260bhp vs 280bhp but more convieneint in traffic etc. Stewarts one for sale is lovely. well worth the money, doubt he would take the Fozz as a trade in though.

Thanks for all the replies lads - was on a bit of a mad one for the last few days - really apprciate all the advice - especially the lads saying keep the forester :icon_headbang:
Have spoken to MDS and will probably go down the clifford road with steering wheel lock and parking bollard..
As some of you have said - if they want it, they'll get it all you can is slow them down...!!! :subaru:
Love this forum stuff.... so much good and sound advice...

Glad to hear it man........ sounds like ya seen sense

If your missus is still worried she can get ya a decent tracker system for yer birthday :smokin:
