let me introduce you to rio our new dog

Animal spec-c

Petrolheads
well we have been talking about getting another dog after our staff got robbed a couple of years ago and my friend called me to say another mutual friend had rescued a staff and was looking a home,so i said to drop by with him,he was very nervous(Rio) but i could see he had a great temperament and alls he wanted was to be petted and play with the kids,so i took him over the missus in work and we she agreed we could take him in so we had to wait as someone else was suppose o be collecting him that night but after a couple of hours i got the call to say he was ours,

heres some history on whats has been happening with rio before he was rescued,a man was seen in lusk area drinking cans with the dog and then tumbing a lift to rush with a belt wrapped around his neck, then the dog was seen with some youths in rush woods with pink spray paint all over his back and a woman took him but the same man showed up saying it was his dog and convinced her to give him back, the following day rio was found behind a 12 foot fence with no other way than been throwing over it so he climbed in and took him out and broughthim home his paws were sore and cut and he also had damaged his front paws/nails trying to dig under tha tar/concrete to escape,

the gaurds have been contacted and we reported this and have advised use on what to do,all this information is up on a local website/facebook for the past week or so and no owner has come forward and this man may have stole or owned him we dnt know,we took him the vet andhes not chipped and appears to be in ok condition vet reakons he a pure breed, hes booked in 2moro for another check up and injections and to be chipped, the poor dog just wants attention and to be love and at this stage deserves it i cant under stand what makes people do these things but he will be happy with us the kids love him as do me and the missus cheers alan

FairPlay man, similar story with my girlfriends parents... But they're seemed to be relations. The family dog which was a jack Russell had a pup to which they sold to a family member. They contacted them about a year later to say they couldn't keep him cos he wasn't good with the kids so would they take him back. So her dad did, when we got him he had a lump out of and was so nervous. Turned out the poor thing was tortured by the children. You have to be careful too cos his ears are so sore you have to watch where your petting him which is mad that its 2 years on now and the poor thing still suffers.

FairPlay again tho, taken on someone else's burden cos of their incapability.

Good man Alan.

I hate pricks that mistreat dogs or animals badly. I only wish that they will experience the same at some stage in there

life . We have 2 dobermen dogs and they bring so much joy to us.

Again fair play and you will get plenty of luck out of it ...

Fair play fella
Just as we are rehoming our cross breed assell!
Its gotten to the stage that I just cant trust him around tge kids!
He has snapped at me twice now, and he keeps showing his teeth to our tgree year old!
Ive made sure hes going to a home with a lot of space and no kids!!!
Its a shame cause hes actualy a lovely little dog, odviously the mistreatment he got before we found him gas taken its toll on him tho

thanks lads hes great and will fit in well with us,had him down the beach there and is great on the lead and off it aswell i brought a few treats and comes back when hes called ect,id say in a couple of weeks with a bit of work he will be a great dog

Great stuff Alan

30 thousand dogs a year get put down in this country so it's good to see some getting a second chance

Fair play, love to hear stories like that...glad he's found a home and you guys have found a new family member
