Hey guys,

A friend of mine used a "3" USB mobile internet connection piece of crap on my Mac and now, apart from screwing up my entire network connections, there is this icon permanently on the taskbar.

How to I get rid of it?

It is the icon on the right, thanks

I imagine you need to delete a recently made network profile for the 3 modem...

Go to System Preferences

Click on Network

Select "Edit Locations" from the Location drop down menu

Once in there, if "3" is listed, delete it. That should remove the phone dial up icon from your screen...

Hopefully!

I got it...

Command, Click and dragged it off the taskbar

..dont know where it disappears too though

have a look at your applications folder if there is anything starting with "Mobile connect"

Download APPCleaner from here http://appcleaner.en.softonic.com/mac and remove the "mobile connect" thingy using AppCleaner (we're using it in Apple ;) )

If you remove the icon from your taskbar it just disappears (puff )

your laptop is fecked now Andy if i were you i would through it in the bin and decent one! (runs-for-cover-behindcouch icon:) :beerbang:
