and a pond in progress
It be great if someone form the midlands could fix the tank,
but if there is anyone else i dont mind traveling to get it fixed.
cheers

Dagnut the tank above is the 100L tank

Hi a guy that works with me does all that stuff up here in monaghan. His name is robin and number is 0868249275. I say he could fix that no problem.....

I've a tank here you can borrow while your getting yours fixed
I was following your blog on another site there and was gutted for you when it cracked!!!
I don't have a tank setup that would house your cyclids at the moment otherwise id do that for you!!!

Straight from the horses mouth,y best mate he's been in the, aquatic business for nearly 20 Years

"Yeah base is easy to fix, clean the glass with meths and silicone a piece of glass over the crack. Done it a few times and has never failed. It'd be cheaper then buying a new tank."

Good idea never taught of that what thickness of glass and silicone should i use ?

With your setup (sand weight and stone weight) I'd use 5-6mm glass and a fair wack of silicone around the crack to ensure a good seal

be more inclined to use a sealant like tech7 or simular, standard silicone doesnt last the test of time , 4mm glass should be plenty strong , its the standard with in most household windows and generally will take a bit of punishment , be as accurate as possible when measuring it also , plenty of glazing companies around would cut it for ya or if you want to send me the size i could get it cut for ya
