My Dad has been a bit of a petrol head since he was young having owned

Ford escort Rs
Subaru legacy
Subaru impreza

Since he retired he had to give up his passion as he couldnt afford it. He loved driving my 535d but was a bit nervous of the power. He has yet to try out the dc5.

It was his birthday 3 weeks ago so I decided to get him an experience he would never forget. A drive in a lamborghini gallardo convertible with 513bhp. Upon arrival he thought I was winding him up until we pulled into the car park and seen this beast parked up along side a ferrari 360cs.

I could see he was getting really excited/nervous as he started to fidget. So we went over to the owner which works for an exotic car rental company (what a job) to get my Dad briefed and settled in the car. 10 mins later and he was all set. He was handed the key, turned on the ignition and the v10 fired up with a mighty growl. You could just sense this car has massive power.

I watched him drive off with a smile ear to ear, very excited for him but yet extremely jealous. Unfortunately you have to be 30 to take the lambo out. I got back into the car and waited for his return.

He got out of the car shaking as the instructor encouraged him to push it along the motorway. I wont say the speeds he got up to but they were fast.

On the drive home he kept talking about it. Was great to see my Dad this happy again due to his passion.

Anyway enough with the boring part heres a few pictures of the monster

So a gallardo is on his list of presents for his next birthday but he can keep dreaming :p

 Very nice and cool . Cabin looks a little cramped probley not but looks that way nice way to spend an hour all the same

Nice!!

I bought my dad the Mondello supercar experience for his birthday last month! Got the 2 for 1 offer in Mondello so got a spin in the 911 myself. It has seriously given me the urge to get a car for the track!

Thanks lads.

Wasnt too expensive but was worth it.

Have been looking at that porsche experience myself in mondello. Is it any good.

Have also started looking into supercar experiences in Silverstone. Has anyone done any of these or recommend other tracks to do them

Mondello 's Porsche experience is short and sweet got the brother the 911 last year. Very short time in the car.

I bought it through groupon Paul. Just go onto the section things to do and you should see a lambo and ferrari driving experience. Through the actual rental company its expensive but with groupon you can get it for 129 for 20mins I think. Ferrari is a bit cheaper.

Not a problem. My Dad said its worth every penny. If your doing it go for the lambo as the ferrari is a little rough looking
