Bought the blue 98 gt555 recently few previous owners on here
here it is with a white wrx and navy wrx sti lovely spec on the navy one
subarus are making comeback down here nearly everyone i know has the scooby bug now haha

nope were all in waterford city. yeah its great to see real performance cars around the place yad be sick of the sound of tdi's haha

wrapped plan on buying a standard blue one of a breaker wrx which has bonnet pins and 555 stickers already on it so think will suit car much better

seems to have stayed up around tipp/limerick/clare from info i gathered on here before buying it ! any info ya have if he did it own it let me know anyways

Ed Synan bought it new in Singland Motors in Limerick. Had it for years. Was in county limerick for a while, then I had it for a year and then went to Cork and then Tipp town IIRC.

Did it not get a full respray? If the correct paintcode was used it is 74F you will find it hard to get a bonnet in that colour from a scrapper. There was only 12 GT555 sold in Ireland.

yeah it did and your right the bonnet wont match up i may have to go with a carbon bonnet i spotted on adverts.ie now come to think of it! yeah did a good bit of research on em seen your for sale add along with next owners enquiries. Its still going strong and getting all the right TLC now just passed nct again so gettin it close to perfect as i can

Your dead right. I remember when Ed had it years ago. Some car and Jesus that car was minded. Do you know Ed? I know him fairly well, he has a bugeye now, I nearly bought it off him when I bought the wrx.

Good man fair play to you. I would have liked to restore it but didn't have time when I had it. If you ever get an itch to sell it let me know.

Wouldn't know him personally just know him from rally scene. Ya I saw he had bugeye up for sale.

when the time comes for an sti ill let ya know haha

nice to know the car was always looked after and known within the rally/subaru scene up that way bit piece of mind
 
Great pics.

I recognise that 98 L 555 reg. Cant for the life of me remember where though. Was it a club car at some stage a few years back ?

toyscrota in the post above used to own it on here and first owner is mentioned above car seems to have always been between limerick/cork/tipp/clare area say ya would have seen it at some stage alright it used to look a lot different though bonnet spoiler wheels exhaust all diff now so wouldnt be as recognizable id imagine
