NCT Re Test or New Test ?

Hi Folks just back from Dec and have removed back plates from front brakes which the guy failed the car now I have 2 days to book a re test should I or should I go for a full re test and if I go for a re test and fail what re course do I have cheers. Oh advanced corrosion was issue with back plates.

Retest, it should only be a visual, and pass cert. you will be waiting 2/3 months on a full test again, then cert will be backdated. It's sweet FA for retest and you should be in within allotted time of 2 days, book online now

So u have no dust plates on ur front calipers? Neither do I and I've passed a few times on them now.

Retest might be dodgy because they are looking for backplates and they are not there.
I would book a full test to be safe.
You will get a new test handy online just keep checking all day for cancellations but you will have to wait until date for retest expires before you can book full test.
You might be lucky with the retest

As above, they'll be looking for them on a retest, be surprised if it passed but there'd be no issue on a new test.

The backing plates are not corrded anymore simple there ot there to corrode you.ll be grand
