nct today 30th june 10am

Petrolheads
as above,
steering rack boots replaced,
d-cat exhaust system taken off n replaced with catted system,
stop n tail bulb replaced,
all fluids checked,
new brakes discs & pads,
putting in new battery in the morning only thing i didn't get a chance to check was headlight alignment so hopefully thats ok,

It's gonna be a wasted trip if your test is on the 30th of July :smile:

Best of luck, I've mine coming up at the start of September - first time in 4 and a half years to do an NCT!!

Hi,

Where did you get the steering rack boots replaced? Are the boots difficult to get?

g'day got the boots in carroll n roche, newlands cross 96.93euro for two vat inclusive
 
hey lads car failed on driverside headlight alignment,

PROBLEM the bulb was not showing the correct angle on the machine to pass!
SOLUTION changed the bulb,headlight aligned,correct angle showing,

retest 7th july :thumbsup:

Nice one Should be a pass next time.

I say "should pass" because I had mine aligned by two different garages after failing on alignment and they still failed it a 3rd time saying it wasnt good enough.
 
i had the same problem last week with the lights and it wasnt the lights , it was the blubs, one of the three teeth that come out of the blub was to long and was making the light shine everywere so i had to file down that tooth and it was grand and passed

when its something simple like that can ya not take it out............. fix it.............. bring it back have it checked and passed on the same day?
or do they make ya pay for the retest?

me thinks once they have to use equipment to check it they charge if it was something visual i.e they just had to see it you can fix and bring bck that day,
maybe someone can confirm that?
