Hi Lads,

Recently picked this up with the engine knocking, have it booked in for a rebuild next month.

Had an 08 impreza hatch and an 05 xt forester 2.5 turbo manual.

If i can shift this Ktm 1290


, I'll do more to it but for now with a newborn and a house build ongoing. A standard rebuild will have to be as far as it goes for now

I got the car Local to me in cork off of a friend who was unlucky enough to only drive it for 3days and the knock appeared. He had just aren't around 4k on it between paint work and mechanical work. Then left it sitting for a year before I bought it.

I'm using Wray motorsport up north for the rebuild. Drop the car off he'll remove and rebuild/reinstall. Only hassle is bringing the car from cork to him as he's as far north as you could get

Have a few other bits as well but said I'd keep it subaru only and a sneaky sales pitch on the 2024 ktm adventure, that i won't have time to use between the little man and the house build this year and next

Love a B4, looks very well in white, you going for OEM rebuild or are you going for something fancy like a forged one or anything lol

Rebuild wise I debated going 2.5 but if doing that I need to go single turbo to get enough air in and it's just another rabbit hole altogether. So unless I found an engine with turbo set up that's drop it and remap to be done without alot of messing, I'll stick with a standard enough rebuild as this is my weekend/time off family car.

I'm already down a rabbit hole on an old 2stroke restomod atm so I'm just trying to for once have some self control
