has anybody here started up a business lately?or does anybody know is there grants available for people who want to start a business??
 
Yeah Enterprise Ireland are fairly busy with business start-ups.

Your local county enterprise board might offer financial support too, I've seen quite a few business start-ups getting grant money from them
 
Once they deem the new business to be be worth the risk they will give grants.
You can also gt a grant to set up your website too.

Its worth doing a start up business course too which only costs about 70 euro or 25 euro if you are in receipt of social welfare.
What county are you in?
 
We got grants from the Meath enterprise when starting the shop. You'll need a fairly decent business plan and they need to be happy your business is sustainable. Took us a few months to get it.

As Pete said, the business start up course would be ideal for you. They will go through business plans etc...
 
The enterprise board can help with all that, they have one to one meetings with you to to help iron out all them little problems.
They will also understand that you know nothing about all the paperwork etc etc but you know how to do the work,they will have seen it all before :thumbsup:
