Right went to see it last night , and what can i say ??
I have been waiting since the 1992 for a decent Terminator sequel , and a couple years back when they announced T3 , i got very giddy indeed . Alas that giddyness was shortlived when i heard that james cameron was no longer at the helm.
When Terminator Salvation was announced , i was sceptical to say the very least , but as with all these things i avoided the hype , didnt watch any trailers or read any reviews beforehand and went in there completely blind. (although i was a bit miffed at the 12A rating )
And from what i saw last night , i wasn't disappointed.Sure ,with McG driving things the plot isn't gonna be as deep as T2 , but he sure knows how to blow sh*t up. Its an enjoyable two hours but you never get that sense of dread that you did from watching the first two .. that sense of relentless terror from the thought of these unstoppable killing machines coming after our heroes..
Bale acted out of his socks as usual , but with a weak-ass script it all sounded a little too cheesy .
7/10
