The young lad has me head wrecked for one
Where is the best place to buy or anyone selling one
I know he will just play it for a few weeks and dump it there so looking for cheap option

I picked one up brand new from Amazon.IT 150euro - red 3DS XL. Bear in mind that the XL doesn't come with a charger, but you can pick up a universal charger in Argos.
There is also the 2DS out now, ugly looking thing, but similiar spec as the 3DS, but doesn't do 3D - which in honesty is a bit of a gimmick.

Finally the dodge cards you can use on the DS, also work on the 3DS but will only support DS games. R4 cards etc.
