All obd2 scan tools are basically the same they give you the eobd codes not the manufacturer specific codes and let you clear MIL.
The iphone/android app with Bluetooth dongle looks cool if you have a smart phone and much the same price and same functionality

I have one there you can have for €20 plus postage. You will have to download the software for your laptop online. They are all base on the elm327 chip. Loads of freeware user interfaces online like here http://www.wgsoft.de/en/download/cat_view/42-obd-iieobd-software.html
