Missed one by inches up roundwood way last week... Was very lit and would have totaled car if I had. Came out of nowhere.

Yep. Drive through there everyday, then up over to Laragh... and it's the military roads between Laragh and Aughavannagh that are the real killer where all the Kamikazi deer hang out... Have had couple of near misses and one or two soft contact cases there over past few years. One got lost though as heard on radio this morning was one wondering along M50
