Off em 2 years now thank god

Always said my kids would never see me smoke or smell smoke off me! So as soon as we found out the wife was expecting, I gave them up!!!
It was a promise I made to myself and my future kids when I was 22

Can't ever go back on a promise to the child like

I used to smoke twenty a day until two and a half years ago. The 14th of July 2008 I gave them up. I will admit that I have had the odd one when I'm out drinking but thats only when on an all day drinking bender and that only happens once every three or four months now.

Off them 2 years now. Maybe all the people quitting contributed to the recession cos the government take a nice chunk of the price of each box!! :smokin:

Was off them 2 years on 2nd Jan this year, used to smoke 20 a day, havent touched one since I gave them up, best decision I ever made.

40-60 a day stoped 2 years ago never felt better, can never see myself going back on them even though everybody is still flat out puffing away around me,the smell really gets to me,best of luck to all who give it go.

:icon_redface: Was 0ff them for 7 years but went back on them

Tried giving up several times but no joy (patches, acupuncture etc)

Easier to give up the gargle

:smokin:

I found that i have tried to quit on numerous occasions before but me and the brother in law decided to pick a date and quit together!!!!
having him suffering as much as i did this time helped big time!!!!
maybe i was just more determined not to let him down, or maybe it was cause of my promise i made to myself and my wife
but this time was alot lot easier!!!! to be honest, its now that im off them almost 2 years i sometimes think "id love a ciggy" but when i smell 1 again it reminds me why i quit
