P1 for sale

can anyone remember what the asking price was the last time this was up for sale?

Think mac mac knows him or met him before
Joe from Limerick his mate was supposed to have a deal done on it but your man then upped the price again after agreeing a different price the day before
If I remember correctly :ponder2:
Nice car all be it Pricey in my opinion
but its his car and he can sell it or advertise it for what he likes

The market for these is usually 4k sterling for the bottom end up to 9k for pristine examples..If this car is a clean as he says I think 11k euro might not be a bad investment if you had somewhere to park it up and the patience to wait 5 years, unmolested examples are already on the rise.

yeah he a mate and local to me . afaik he has all original parts to put back to factory .

and yet again id have to agree with dagnut , it possibly would deserve its premium price .as it does very little mileage .

last time i seen it outside was for the world record attempt in punchestown . but it be more for a collector than young fella wanting a 3door impreza imo

Where's the 3rd door Ross on a P1...??

Sorry.. it's a pet hate of mine when people refer to them as 3drs. :icon_hang:

there you go.

another run down of pricing on isdc and then a sale.

i really have to say that every for sale thread around isdc ends up in the same comments from same individuals.

and leads to the same run down for irish market market prices.

so well done isdc admin and well done isdc member contribution. a very club feeling about it.

joke guys.

Dave

Last time I checked Colm you were entitled to an opinion so I wouldn't be loosing any sleep over what you said.

Car did sell... But unless Dave has an inside knowledge of how much it sold for then really it's hard to say the seller may not have decided to drop his price after deciding he may have overpriced it in order to shift it. Either way.. People are entitled to their opinion. If a members for sale thread was being ruined here I'd understand his complaint but i didn't realise we weren't allowed to comment on cars for sale on DD.

I don't think comments we have here on a cars value will sway the Irish Subaru market anyway... And surely if we did he'd be glad of the lower values for buying cars for breaking.

dave does the "joke guys" part of your post mean that your only joking or are you actually calling us lot a joke????

Hi

Sorry just to clarify clearly so no confusion..

with quote highlighted.. it clearly is not yourself scoobycolm so certainly no offence intended.

@jamie. this is not the first time. and as subaru cars are starting to be the ownership of the the more mature owner i.e. non teen then yes forums are influential. pretty similar to old skool e34/e30 m5/m3 bmw vehicles in the uk.

i am not a car sales lot so the comments are neutral.

@jonny t the comments are not related to every member no of course not. but certain posters and the moderator ignorance yes. so reflects on isdc as a whole without doubt watsoever.

Dave I've read through all the above posts and I'm failing to see an example of 'moderators ignorance' TBH.

Ross knows the guy... So his first comment can only be taken in jest. Dagnut agrees the value is achievable to the right buyer... And the only other person to comment on value was Ken... And in fairness he's entitled to have an opinion regardless whether you agree with it or not so I can't see where you feel this thread needed moderating?

As I've said before... If this has been a members FS thread then it would have had moderators all over it but members regularly post FS ads from DD and we comment openly on them so I'm not sure how this differs.

I don't agree either that we can sway the price of the 2nd hand Subaru market here. There are a lot more influential reasons that cars values have dropped. The stagnant economy, unemployment, rising insurance and car tax rates... And also the changing demographic of owners who are no longer lads with expendible income and instead are building houses, getting married and starting families.

If it was the case that a clubs members could influence the value of cars and the markets would listen, then surely we'd be over hyping their value for our own benefit.
