Any computer experts in the north Dublin area?

I need somebody to take a look at my PC. I noticed it juddering while playing a game so i turned it off and dusted it out. When i turned it back on it Beep once and all fans came on but no signal to monitor.

So turned off and made sure everything was connected, turned back on and it started up grand, managed to get on Internet but lost connection and the screen went blank but all fans remained running.

Now its turning on but no signal and nothing happens.

I think its the motherboard but Ive no idea about hardware issues.

Any help will get much thanks.

Steve (HIWD) is the man for that, He has a shop in dunboyne

1 beep is normally RAM - have a look see how many chips you have in the motherboard.. take one out at a time and try boot the pc.. when it does you found the dead one.

I repair PC's too, but im way too far away from you!

Did you touch anything inside Lee? Your bodies static may have fried something on the motherboard.

Not sure mate, gonna give steve a bell tomorrow and let him have a gander.

It has duel graphics cards and all that so i dont want to poke around to much.

I doubt you damaged anything with your static, probably one of the Graphics card isnt seated properly, just open up case again and double check all connections are good. I can have a look if Steve cant help you.

This sounds like the most likely cause.
