Okey Dokey!! lol

I got a PM from a member and I cant reply. If I cant reply then why is the person able to send me one? Shouldnt they get a message saying something like "your intended recipient cannot reply to this PM".

Im not complaining or anything like that... it just seems silly that you can receive and not reply so why receive at all? ya get me?

To be honest it doesn't really have an effect on not being able to pm, you would be beter off doing what is done on the MLR, and restricting the amount of posts a non member can post rather than not let non members send pm's

In all reality, all i have to do to get in contact with someone i want is start a thread and ask the guy to pm me with his mobile number, so not really a hindrance is it??

Just me 2 pence lads, restrict post count per month instead

Then something drastically goes wrong with your car (touch wood it dosnt) and then ye dont know what it could be and then cant post up on the site for a month, best thing to do is become a member and get all loyalties. and i just paid not so long ago and its the best 50euro i've ever given.

Thats what i'm on about mate, make a limit on posts non members can make instead of stoping private messages, not being able to post would have a bigger affect on someone paying up rather than not being able to send a pm, after all you can still receive them!!!

Thats so the committee can PM everyone if needs be, or for traders who start advertising cars we can pm them and explain why there posts have been removed. It also stops garages or parts suppliers who dont support the club PMing saying we can do this or that etc.

But the main reason is that its another bonus for being a club member.
