As you can see on above pictures, someone tried to get into my tank, either to drop something in, or to attempt stealing petrol, the latter I doubt with nowadays prices of petrol.

I am not sure how long its like that, but it sure isnt for long, as I would notice during refuelling.

Is there option for subarus to buy separate lockable fuel cap?

Just someone being a ****. If someone wanted the flap open, they'd get it open.

I don't think it was trying to steal petrol, just little ****s causing damage! If it was a petrol thief he's a bad one, everyone knows there's never much petrol in a Subaru! ????

True that Martin, lol... unfortunately the damage is significant, and there is enough paint chipped so it goes to the metal... I will have to get this fixed asap to prevent any rusting...

Just someone (kids) f**ing around I reckon...

Real petrol thieves would just bring a screw driver and leverage it open - and would have no calms about bending cap and doing serious damage if it meant easier and quicker access.

Could be someone sitting against your car with a jeans, and the studs in pockets scratched the car?

technically, maybe, but the scratch on the edge is way too deep to be made with just pushing against the car, so I doubt it.

2000 wet and dry water soap give it a light rub and see how it turns out maybe some touch up for the chips
Don't go mad rubbing paint is very thin
