Peugot 206 <<--- any good

Gearboxes are shite in em... mother had a new one a good few years back and had 2 boxes replaced under warranty.... if it's out of warranty get it inspected well! Crunchy gears.... walk away!

Had 2 of these ,
had a phase 1 (1999) and nothing ever went wrong with it , until i sold it , New owner decided the 1.1 was up to burning 17's , wasnt best idea and busted the gear box

Had a phase 2 (2003) Again perfect car , never a problem , Again the following owner broke the gear box , was running on 17's again

AVOID cars with large diameter wheels ! Easy to run , cheap parts and service ,

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!! Please don't! I've put up with my girlfreinds for far to long, if its not one thing its another!! Fair enough she might have got stuck with a lemon but its just put a dampener on them all for me!

i had one as my first car never gave a days trouble, and as the lads said dont upgrade the wheels they really dont like any thing but standard,

Grand car i drove the arse off one for two years as my first car, started to give small electrical trouble around 75k as did my mates one but nothing major. Gears were crunching slightly when i traded her though so look out for that as said above

Hey guys thanks for all the advice, i tried to get her to get a micra but she wont have it she doesn't like them she's fairly hard on cars, so far she has had a hyundai (crashed into pole trying to avoid a rabbit) and an opel astra (ex-boyfriend broke her alarm fob and immobiliser), she has also crashed a ford ka twice and she dont like the seat ibiza, she seems to have her heart set on a peugot at the mo but i'm trying to steer her towards the yaris hopefully she will get something soon because as soon as she gets her car she's moving into her new apartment whoo hoo the peace lol ....... 1 down 2 more to go :multijump:

Any chance you could let us know whereabouts she mostly drives and the times of day?

Just so we can give her a clear run at it like
