strange to see us coming out on the right side of a transfer deal.........Benayoun = Cole + £6M, that's gotta be a good deal??
 
it would have been better if benayoun had of stayyed aswell.

i always tought he was good for us
 
Very happy with that signing,a bit of good news for a change,and seems like a great bit of buisness too.
 
Very disappointed in Joe. I thought he had more ambition than that. I mean, not even champions league football this year.

I'd say he'll be gutted that he's let you down!!

Clearly his ambition is to play football every week, it looks like he'll have a better chance of doing that at Liverpool rather than Spurs.

I'm not so sure about that unfortunately. First 11 versus first 11 I'd say they're pretty close but I'd rate Spurs as the better first team. As soon as you go to the bench Spurs win hands down.


Think about some of the positions one-on-one (using last season's teams)

Bale vs Insua
Palacios vs Mascherano
Defoe vs Torres
Crouch/Keane/Paluychenko vs Ngog/El Zhar
Dawson/King vs Carra/Agger/Skrtel/Nick the Greek
Aaron Lennon vs Dirk Kuyt!!!!!!!!!!!!
Modric vs Lucas!!!!!!!!!

No leap of faith required to see why Spurs finished comfortably above Liverpool IMO.
 
have to agree with john here

spurs had a lot better squad then liverpool last season and i think they will have a better squad again this season.

liverpool need to start all over again and do a big clean out, there only a handle full of players i would keep

just hopefully hogdson plays players in the right postition
 
looks like he is doing that in getting rid of some dead wood,came out today and said degan can find a new club ngog can go for 6million but we wont find anybody mad enough to to spend that on him,jovanavic is after getting rieras shirt number so is he on the way out??insua seems like he is off to fiorentina,supposidly kyrgiakos aint on roys plans either.also signed danny wilson from rangers which i think is a good singning.another established left back and striker we need anything more after that would be a bonus because we aint got the cash lol..
