my dad told me that a polish driver had 6 vans on a car transporter 2weeks ago and the top deck with 3 vans on board were loaded to the gills with every sort of stolen power tools of every kind in dublin. Just shows where most of the stolen tools are being shipped off to. Just said id put it up for anyone that has had tools stolen that some have been recovered

What kind of tools do you know? Prob allsorts.

The bro is a plaster & I've a few mates that are chippys. I'll mention it to them. Fair play.

Only takes a handful of bad eggs to give 'em all a bad name though.

I heard the exact same story except it happened in England in the 80's and the guy was Irish - just shows that all theft in England was by Irish people!!!!

what are you tryin to say nodge. not on about the 80's.
might be helpful for people to know, some of their tools could be in them vans.

Didn't find anything offending myself here... and I'm Polish ;)

The sad truth is that nothing would surprise me, really.
There are many polish scums who came over and now are giving the rest of us that bad name. :icon_cry:

nail them b*****s :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

You're using one unsubstantiated story to say that most thefts of tools in Ireland are committed by Polish people - I think that's racist Chris!

i never said that most thefts are by polish, i said the driver had the goods on his car transporter. The goods were heading for a foreign country. Never said anything about polish nationals doing the robberys. I will appoligise for wrong wordering, i meant to say that the goods are being shipped out of this country to anywhere in the world. Not to poland in particutlar.

@ Nodge,
Being a moderator and all! Maybe a PM asking him to edit his post would have been appropriate?? to avoid possibly causing offence!
People could think you are just being sarcastic! (lowest form of wit) which of course, Isn't like you!

I had all my tools robbed just before Xmass, and I still haven't managed replace them all yet!
I'll look in to that asap!
Thanks for the heads up chris!

I wanted to share my thoughts Dan - another reply to this thread had to be removed (earlier on - by one of the other moderators) because it was ridiculously racist!

Fair enough it was poor wording Chris, that was the meaning I took from it at the time.

anyone know where to go to in relation to getting tools back or seeing if any are mine .

Unless you have serial codes for items you have had stolen i can't see the Gardai or whoever it is handling it, letting any Joe Soap in to see if their stuff is there.

i lost a couple of makita cordless drills and drivers, and eh some makita sanders
and a couple of chop saws and some skill saws. I can pick them up any time
that suits........
