price for type r ?

hows it goin lads looking for a bit of advice,how much should i be looking to pay for a 98 type r no modefications , your man was looking for 15500 for it, i was thinking that was a bit pricey also is there anything i should look out for when checkin a type r out any info is greatly appreciated

No Jim i would of thought that was about right,
im sure with a bit of haggling you could get him down to €15,000

What you need to be carefull of, has the car been re-mapped to run on
our shitty 95RON petrol. TypeR's are factory set to run on 101RON unleadded.

If it hasn't it will cost about €1,200 aprox for a new ECU and re-mapp

Prices are very widespread? is it a V4 or V5???????

If 5 then worth about 14-15k
If a 4 worth about 13k give or take.

those prices are about right. They have come down in the last year. I paid 18k for my '98 Version 5 type R a year ago.
