Question ? 2007 peugeot 407.

My sisters 07, 407 D,, clutch cable went and main dealer is asking for 500+ for new one,, Should this not be covered by waranty

Clutch' s aren't normally covered under warranty , as it's known as a "wear and tear"part.
I stand to be corrected though.

Is a peugeot still under warranty 3 years on? Would expect the cable to be replaced unless they class it as a serviceable item... Don't think it would be a serviceable part though so should be covered

If its still under warranty and its a cylinder thats gone then i'd say yes.......the actual clutch/pressure plate i wouldn't think so. Unless its very low mileage and they show a bit of good will........ask nicely and see what happens.
