Right lads my car should be going to a new home tue or wed

The prob is that i have'nt spotted anything for myself yet!

If im without a car for a while(few days..few weeks...god only knows!!!) will it affect my No Claims??

Im paying my insurance monthly so i might aswell just cancel it ya :dunno:

Cheers...

AFAIK once you cancel it you will have to restart the year again :ponder:

but you can just freze it for a month or so..

I pay direct debit monthly so it prob wont make a difference if i cancel anyway!

Lost my policy book  :doh:thats why i ask!

say you have 2 years NCB and you have two months left and you will be on your 3rd year

if you cancel it you will have to start from the start of year two again..

If ur payin monthly by direct debit then you won't be due any refund so just leave it alone...easier option maybe than startin a new policy again when you get a car, specially when ur not goin to be witout one for long :dunno:

Give them a buzz and tell them your story see what they say got them to freeze mine a while ago no bother

Same kinda thing happened me a few years ago with bikes! Was drivin a cbr 250 and was tradin up to a bandit 600 but left my insurance go for bout 5 weeks.Had to start from scratch again when i got da bandit :angry:My advice keep payin your insurance!!

Yeah mate , if you can afford it just keep paying monthly as it shouldn't be long before you get back on the road , then just change your insurance over,
less hassle , I know I couldn't be off the road for long me self.

Might be best think to just keep paying so!

@JonnyT.the sooner you sell me yours, the sooner i can get back on the road :D

Don't tell the insuranse company that you have your car sold!!!!!!!
Just say you are thinking about it and you are just asking can they freeze it hypotheaticly, If they know that you no longer have the car then they may cancel your insurance and hence loose your no claims bonus!
Same when you buying your next car dont tell them that you're thinking of buying it! just say you've bought it! because Quinn direct (for one) wont quote you on a performance car but if you are an existing customer and already have the car they will!

Cheers lads
Ill just carry on paying!its only €22 a week!
Ill ring quinn when i buy the car and if they dont quote me ill cancel the policy and look elsewere!
Have my eye on something so hopefully it wont be too long

Doubt Quinn will qoute you. I've 9 years NCB and found it really hard to get insurance. Finally got insurance from AXA, but still cost me €987 fully comp for a '96 STI. Brokers seem to also be able to get insurance but usually charge you more.

Any company will suspend your insurance if you keep paying it and just say that you will have a new car in a couple of weeks.
