Recommend good hotel with Golf

Doonbeg in West Clare is amazing Dave. Very expensive though, I was there on a freebie in September!
 
funny you just put this up cos a group of us in work are looking to go away for a golfing trip soon enough and was looking at the radison blu in sligo, there was an add in the paper with 2 nights b+b with one evening meal and a round of golf in either sligo or rosses point for 149 pps, the green fee for rosses point alone is 80 so thats a class offer, its one of the best courses in the country too!!!

alternativly we have connections to kilkenny golf course and gowren and i can give ya a good rate in the hotel so would be a nice cheap weekend!

ill pm ya the rates as there friend and family rate and they differ from week to week, anyone else on the site lookin for a weekend away dont hesitate to give me a shout, im in the lyrath in kilkenny

Thanks Lad, hard to match the offer Sealymonster has given me and the hotel looks top class.
 
A mate of mine that plays golf has text me saying that the Mount Wolseley in Carlow is good and is fairly reasonable.

Castledargan is another hotel in Sligo with a golf course. Course was designed by Darren Clarke. Not a golfer so not sure how good it is. Its only open a few years :thumbsup:

Castle Dargan course is very good and tricky enough. Nice hotel swell. I got married there.

The mount wolsley is very nice also. Golf course is ok nothing fantastic but bear in mind I'm not the greatest of golfers.

Have a look at the heritage golf and spa in killenard. Not sure bout the golf as I didn't play but the hotel is top notch and so is the food. Very reasonable prices aswell. Don't mix it up with the heritage in portlaoise tho.
