Remap = great!

Got the car remapped to E5 on Saturday, didn't have a chance until today to go for a good long spin to see the difference and have to say :angry: me its great, the pick up on the car is sooo much better, the thing just moves!!! Big up to DaveLegacy and Bob Rawle for getting this sorted for me :worship: Very happy punter! However i hate talking to Dave, :p any time i do he always putting these ideas into my head, " Sure why don't you go for this turbo out of this car instead, and if you do this mod, you get this much power" and so on. The thing is im weak and will probably get it done soon enough! :thumbsup:

standard ecu is re-mappable! cost 950 euro from STI Tuning, pricey but essential purchase if you intend to add more power down the road or want your car to run safely on Irish fuel. Mapper flown over from UK, license for remap etc. sure just the price of one or 2 carbon bits you were looking at !

Ye just Pm DaveLegacy on here. He will look after you! You should take it handy in yours until you get a remap. Maybe use E5(Maxol fuel) and Lucas or NF booster.

going to take it really easy ill ring him tomorrow did you feel a good bit more power

the car is definitely much more responsive, i wouldn't say my remap added much more power(if any) but just made the car run better. Must get a dyno done soon and see what she is pushing out. Some people get mapped to Unleaded 95 + booster or E5 + booster or E5 only, It really depends on what you want, more power or just a nice safe convenient map. if you make any changes down the road, you can get a tweak map which is cheap enough to get the most from future mods. I've on had my Legacy a few weeks but 2 things i would get done first, Clifford Alarm, and remap! Then get your exterior sorted with the carbon bits and pieces. Just my 2 cents!

Guy didnt fly over just for me! Dave organises mapping weekends every month where about 15-20 lads get work done

clifford is being put in the day before i pick it up how much notice did you give sti tunning

Well you should be able to get it in for the June mapping dates. May mapping dates were this weekend just gone. So you just missed out. If you based in Dublin we should meet up and compare cars! :cheers:

just Manic. :smokin: That place is only around the corner from me in work. So i could meet up with you whenever your picking it up if you want

im picking it up from tunning factory as i sent it there the owner is a good friend of mine maybe friday or there is a dtd meet for new cars to the site on sat orgainised by meself ill pm you on mainic

@ Dan! Did you get a de-cat down pipe,air filter?? to compliment the remap??
That would certainly have gained you more power!
also regarding octane booster, every extra 2 ron = 20-25 bhp when mapped to suit!
