I wasnt sure where to post this,

Im looking for someone to fit door bars into my 205 and weld a panel into the roof as I need to remove the sunroof.

I dont need it sprayed, I can do all the filling and sanding myself.

I take it your planning on competing...? which I gather requires whoever fits cage to be certified and approved welder...? :ponder2:

Sure am, club class Time Attack all going well,

Needs to be done right for sure, just dont know of anyone that does that type of work.

Im in Dublin,

tried your man in waterford because i was looking for a diff aswell but couldn't contact him,

ill give murry motorsport a shout, didn't realise they did that work too.

Cheers man.

if its a bolt in cage you dont need certs off the welder, just make sure the cage has decent plates to the floor and the welds are good for your own safety. i just bought a car with a badly welded in cage and no plates. will be doing a bit of cutting and welding at the weekend.

Its a bolt in jobbie alright, good welds on the plates.

Was well fitted only for the fact that the cage itself has no door bars. So is it ok to pick up some 44mm bar and get a welder to put them in? Or does the steel have to meet the same standards as the cage itself?

supposed to be fia approved, you can buy spuious door bars complete with ends that you cut to lenght
