Hello guys/gals,
Its been a while since I have been here but congrats on a great site, looks like the club has progressed so far

anyhow for my question, I know there is a faclity on the ros.ie site to check vrt on all 4 door Impreza's but I cannot seem to find where to check up 2 door(type r), anyone know??

Thanks,
James

I think it will be 3k or less for the vrt on a type R because of their rough age/value. Cant remember exactly bu think it was 2800 on my 98 type R last september.

Jeeeez back in my day here(when I had a username with loads of posts lol), you would be lucky to see a reply in 2 or 3 days lol.
Hiya John, Ive gone through a few naughty petrols since then but the aul dirty diesel will never leave(Mon to Fri anyway lol).
1 euro is too much to give them but I suppose at the same time I though it might be a more than 3k.

Matt, you said "I think it will be 3k or less for the vrt on a type R because of their rough age/value" what do you mean re the rough age/value, are you saying that they figures given on the site are not exactly what you pay?
The reason I ask is that I was checking a car recently and it had the same market value as it had 12 months ago which cant be right.

Their website is only a guide James, based on the expected open market selling price.

They only decide the exact omsp when you present the car to them, based on things like extras fitted etc etc.

Mmm I vrt'd a car in the past 6 months and they took the exact web price and didnt even check the car.

I think you just put it down as a 2 dr saloon and then it will give you a list of models including the 2 dr type r at the end

Thanks John, just pondering at the moment but there is something that just keeps bringing us poor suckers back lol.

Dave, probably a v6 (2000), dont have one yet though.

Pete, you the man, who would have guessed putting down a saloon would do, thanks.

00 v6 sti type r 2 door, april 00 with 75k km on it.

Hi.
What i meant was, with the newest type R being a 2000 model and mine being a 98 bought last year, and my VRT being around 2800. I shouldn't think it will cost you much more than 3000euro even if you go for a late model.

Thanks lads, much appreciated. I better get something before July 1st as I certainly aint going to be buying a 2k a year road tax car after that date, unless of course you are loaded like Muiris(good to hear from you too man), wasnt sure if you were still about here. Is Niall still in the club? Ok off to find Scoob no#4 lol.

You mean from UK or Japan?, undecided but I probably only have this week to source one in Japan as it would be cutting it fine for July 1st and even this week is a bit risky to have it back in time. I have done it twice before and you are very much depending on your car getting on the ship or its another month. I am looking about the UK and here also.
