any one ever got a car sandblasted and how much did it cost and is this the best way way get pait off . i started to do it by hand it seem to be taking to long

chap in ballyboughal does sandblasting on truck bodies.. This would be same process and then off to your choosen sprayers...
 
have to be carefull with this, with sand the car panels heat up too much and warp. you need to use beads or in america they use a mix of beads and nutshells. there is a quy in tallaght that does this will try to get a number for him :thumbsup:
 
hi brian sandblasting can do harm to panels got a shell blasted be4 came back with quaters damaged.is it an old car your looking done.acid dipped is the best i got my beemer done this way some job and shell completly striped to bare metal but not cheap.

where did you get it dipped if you dont mind me asking here or across the water.
 
know a lad who sandblasted his antique car years ago and still has sand in places!!!!
the acid dip sounds good!!!

Refreshing the old thread instead of creating new one - is there any good place in Dublin where I could do sand blasting on brake calipers, preparing them for fresh paint?
