I hate to say it but I have seen the same happen and worse....
I have seen people reversing up the fast lane of the motorway cause they missed their junction (late at night)

Yeah was an auld dear, judging by that piece of driving she might be in the big car park in the sky right about now

To be honest when its an Auld one, I actually feel more sorry for them than anything.
They get confused or think they are doing the right thing. I know its putting other people at risk, But its up to the authorities and their own families to make the decision to say they are no longer fit to drive and put a stop to it.....

Remember that 90% of the old codgers on the road never had to sit a driving test and the license was just handed to them
