Hows things lads im looking for a digital camera, something to start off with like a nikon D60, even a used one just to get the hang of it then ill move up.
So any advice on what one and where to get it, new or used.
Thanks for your time
Cheers

Keith.

Just bought a D60 myself when i was in New York
Handy enough to use although i still have a lot to learn
and i hate reading manuals........

Once you get a camera Keith, read the manual, its the only way to get to grips when starting of.

Also when reading the manual write down a few pointers from what you learn reading through the manual

Good stuff lads thanks for the info, a fella i know has a Nikon d700 for sale for very handy money (think it fell off the back of a truck)
But its way too advanced for what i would be using it for, i think the D60 would be the best option for me.
What one do you have Keith?

Thanks again lads for getting back to me

I have a fuji finepix s9600. Plenty of things on it to keep you learning which I am doing every time I use it.

I got a book there about photograghy and it tells you so much.

I'll get you the name off it tomorrow if you like.

Bought a Sony Alpha 350.... award winnning camera and very user friendly for beginners! Great camera... very delighted with it and very reasonably priced!

so when we gonna have a official ISDC shoot with all these budding photographers , and theyre fancy camera's

maybe a fine day in phoniex park or at a night meet , the likes of which u would see on nasioc ,

jus think it could be a good idea!!!! any opinions ??

Would love to get a photo off the cars layed out in ISDC, just like they did on the mcrae drive.

Think it woulld look the business :icon_headbang:

Probably would only get the chance at say Japfest in a meet before hand or try lay out like that in mondello :ponder:
