Just wondering what sort of license is needed for small lorries? Have been offered a job for the summer, just cutting grass but it would involve having to transport the cutter on a small 2 axle lorry. The chap says my driving license is sufficient but i'd like to find out for definate before i give him an answer. Last thing i want is to be stopped only to be told i'm not licensed properly then.

B license covers vehicles less than or equal to 3500kg and 1 to 8 people.

You probably need a C1 license which is vehicle between 3500kg and 7500kg

As above, your B license covers you for any vehicle up to 3500KG. Just weigh the truck

Steve.

that's including what ever is on the back of it, so truck + load 3,500kg so many people get caught out by this..

Single axel is ok with b licence just check weights.Should be a plate on truck.

Twin axel requires c1
