has any one noticed how many impreza s are for sale lately here and in the uk (20 pages of imprezas dated back only 6 days!! on pistonheads) wonder why it is is the slow down in the irish economy affected people selling their pride and joy subaru or either wise its a shame what ever the reason

I reckon alot of people think that they're gonna have to pay €2000 tax come July.....
As per usual our government don't explain things very well....

Alan.

i would say the new tax vrt laws will affect july reg onwards but give it 2-3 months and if there is extra revenue to gain they will change all cars to the same rate

I was just thinking this the other day, alot of scoobs for sale on here aswell.

well the price of motion lotion doesnt help either and the confussion with the tax/emmisions laws and down turn in the building trade it all adds up to disaster

Ya i was thinking the very same thing today and i agree with the above!the price of petrol if a pain in the arse and this unclear tax fuk-up in a major turn off!

It's a balls really as i have my eye on something SWEET,thats been sitting there for weeks!if only i could shift mine first :wall:

Very true but every tom dick and harry are importing Jap cars now which is flooding the market.

spot on great reply

every time i buy the Trader theres about 4 new import garages advertising in it, like John said the markets flooded, yet they all keep selling the cars at a stupidly high price. like check Icetronix imports, Robbie is selling 93 and 94 civics for up to 7k! a d people are fool enough to buy them . . .

all the big importers are ripoff b*****ds went back to the fella i bought my 98 wrx off after a year wanted to trade for a 98 sti 5 only did 8000kms since i had it absoulutely mint and the cheeky c*** offered me 4 grand less than what i paid for it off em 12 months ago plus another 6 to change, was going mad... pure scum. wouldnt by a stamp off em now...

Similar happened someone I know used to have a Jap Yaris, the Vitz RS, paid 12k for it 12 months ago and had to sell it thru the same place for 5k, ye learn by ur mistakes eh?

tell me about it, i have my car on carzone since last august, have had 1820 hits on the page and one call.
@30k the car is below book value and it still wont shift.

I want my 1

Do you think because of this it will decrease the price's significantly{if I spelt that right  } because I've heard it been said that when the new Tax comes in that it will help maybe stabilise or increase the prices of the second hand ones.Just like to hear some of your different views on this.

The only reason im selling my type R is because i want a faster one :D

Good plan. I thought about selling my type R to buy a modified one but ive put far more money than its now worth into it with mapping and maintenance etc im gonna hold onto it and make it fast as fook when i can afford it.

I've had 1040 Viewings and not one phone call on car zone and 86 (Three today) since I put it in CBG! I've Price it From 17000 to 13000ono and still nothing. It's back to 15000 now as that's what it's worth! I just have to wait and see!
