Great pics, just out of curiosity is that a starburst filter on the camera or a photoshop filter? either way, the effect is savage

Thanks all,

Nope i dont work for a magazine :icon_blahblah:

& yes it's a starburst filter used, not that handy with photoshop-just the basics

nice pics, what camera you using? whenever i take pics at night without the flash they are always very grainy, not as clear as yours :icon_redface:

Hello Dan,

On that occasion i used my Nikon D50,which is a DLSR type camera, grainy photos suggest a high ISO value,i always set mine as low as possible 200 or 100 depending on what camera you have,to compensate for the low ISO value i keep the shutter open for longer,my EXIF data for most of the shots is:
F11,
exposure 15sec,
ISO 200,
0 step exposure bias,
metering mode: spot,
no flash

Yeah that will do the trick nicely, functions pretty much the same, using the small lens is always best for nighttime stuff as well, less space for light to get lost before it hits the sensor.

Nice pics man! Think I've seen you around blanch a couple of times.
