well guys,
went into subaru dealer yesterday to get 2 new rocker cover gaskes give them the chassic number went back 2day to get gaskets and they give me somehing that you would fit on a justy, when we looked at the email sent from hq in dublin the picture looked liked a sohc gasket, which they said matched the chassic number . being a import they were a little unhelpfull and would not check the chassic number to tell me what the engine should be :wall:. was just wondering is there anyone here who could check the vin number and tell me excatly what the car is. i am 100% sure it is a 2.l turbo and i checked the ecu number with some web page i found and said it is for a rs which is correct. am not sure what model the turbo is or if they differ from a uk spec legacy. any help would be great.
 
Based on the APPLIED MODEL number on you VIN plate you should be able to find out, your exact model type.

The 7 digit "applied model" code found on the vehicle identification plate inside the engine bay is decoded in the following way.
1.Series code G=Impreza S=Forester B=Legacy etc.
2.Body type F=Wagon C=Sedan
3.Engine type 8=2.0L Turbo
4.Year code A=MY93 B=MY94 C=MY95&96 D=MY97 (facelift) E=MY98 F=MY99 G=MY00
5.Number of doors 2=2 door coupe 4=4 door saloon 5=5 door wagon/hatch
6.Model type 8=WRX 7=RA type E=Sti D=Sti Type R & RA
7.Transmission D=5 Speed Manual AWD P=4 Speed Automatic AWD

Ive just bought 2 rocker gaskets from HB Dennis and ordered 4 spark plug gaskets to do at the same time to be sure.
The spark plug gaskets are, im guessing what you recieved as they were also down on computer as rocker cover gaskets and even say rocker gasket on packaging.
They ordered them hoping they would be the plug gaskets as plug gaskets weren't on the system. Rocker gaskets were listed 3 times, all with different part numbers.
1 part number for drivers side and slightly different gasket for passenger side then 3rd part number was spark plug gaskets.

Part numbers
13293AA051 for spark gaskets
13270AA171 for rocker
13272AA094 for other rocker

Thanks guys the only problem is my vin number has 9 digits and has 2 letters bc the other 7 are numbers. them part numbers you sent do they fit all turbo rocker covers both legacy and impreza :thumbsup:
 
Not sure.
They are for an Impreza EJ20 engine.
If you search rocker cover gaskets and spark plug gaskets on the net you should find stuff.
 
Hi, dont know if you were on to my parts lads here?, if you forward me your chassis we have a japo computer here so should be able to match them up for you no problem, cheers
