Spec C & The Spec C type RA

no splitters or anything on the Type-RA i think, surprised you even get doors with the thing!

i dont think so, like the classic RA the only differences were the body and gearbox (as far as i know! im afraid the Anorak will come in and chew me up if a get that wrong!! :D ) so id take it that the new age would would be 'Race Altered' in the same way. lighter windows, less sound proofing, no electrics (windows and A/C) closer gearbox ratio's yada yada . . . . .

theres an Spec-C Type RA-R as well, maybe thats the one with out the splitters, maybe its only the side skirts and rear splitter that come off, and i think the spoiler as well, but it would seem stupid to take the front one off because it does have good aerodynamic properties

I think I recall that the RA didn't even come standard with alloys or bucket seats as it was expected that they would only be used for rallying, but stand to be corrected.

I have got this list for the Spec-C Type RA this is the late 2005 / early 2006 model and is not to be confused with the Spec C Type RA-R, which was released late last year:

The applied model code for the spec-c type-ra is GDB/F4F4

The gearbox code is TY856WB7JA 6 speed with ddcd with short throw gearleaver. 1.2.3.4 gears same as the uk box but 5th and 6th are a shorter ratio.

Roof vent (the spec-c has this also)

AFAIK the main differences is in the suspension and gearbox

The Spec-c type RA is intended for track days / circuit racing

You can also get a rally spec spec-c, this is intended for group n-rallying. This is supplied on 16" wheels, throw away carpets and seats as these would be replaced during the rally prep.

The Spec-c Type RA-R was released late last year as above, this is a more extreme version of the type RA with udgraded brakes, different exhaust, its one of the first cars to be advertised as 320Bhp along with the S204. The type Ra-R is missing the rear spolier etc and has revised suspension.

I hope this is of some help

Cheers,

Michael
