this may be a stupid question but i've seen people doin it before. if you watch his feet at some corners he's clutching,breaking and with his right heel is accelerating all at once. my guess is that he's trying to keep the power on in the corner. oh and his gear changes are fantastic!!

discobarr: He just keeps ther rev up to avoid turbo-lag at the end (way out) of the corner.

Its called "heel and toe" technique
