i was on the way home a few min ago and was on the naas to newbridge dual way its an 80km/h limit, i was doing bout 100km/h and didnt see the forrester. i passed him and he didnt follow/pull me, does anyone no if te have to come after u to give u points or can they just take ur reg and send them to u in the post

AFAIK they need to come after you (or get you stopped further on) and show you the gun....
They then issue you with a fixed fine :angry:

They didnt stop me with the gun, he zapped me and just shook his finger has i drove past. A week later i got 80 euro fine (i think) and 2 penalty points.
 
Some of them have cameras built into the gun. The lads on bikes normally just have laser but the lads beside cars and jeeps have the cameras with them.
 
this one was sittin in the jeep with the gun in his hand and it was pitch black out, one of my mates said he seen them pullin someone in newb bout 15 min after i went by it so think it must be ordinary gun they had so should be ok me thinks
 
The forrester's have a computer on board with a camera on the gun, It's like the getzo van, it's up to the guard as to wheater he processes it or not, you would be ok sometimes with a couple of kph over but i'd say twenty Kph over he would do you. you'll just have to wait and see! you might be lucky. :noway: :pray:
 
Yup when they did me they had a picture of my reg plate, luckly the car was in my sisters name and she has a uk license so i got away with it.
