Spraying Grill

My mesh grill need's a new coat of paint. What type of black paint should I be using, matt finish or gloss?

That all depends on what kind of finish you want on it...

i tried sprayin mine from chrome to black!!!!
sprayed primer,satin black and lacquer with several coats of each and wasnt worth a fook!!!!
bought a brand new chrome grill for the second time and its staying chrome!!!

Chrome is near impossible to spray over, you should have removed as much of the chrome as possible.

satin black will give a better finish!!!!

have you considered getting it powdercoated?

A satin or matt would be best finish. would look like a standard black finish..

i just sprayed one of my grills satin black tonight, needs a sanding and another coat probably but its looking well already, just give the surface a good sanding and wipe down to ensure paint sticks better.
